Markham J. Geller

Markham J. Geller is Gastprofessor für Wissensgeschichte at the Freie Universität with special interests in Babylonian science, especially medicine. He has close links with the MPIWG and is involved in programmes dealing with Lingua Franca and Multilingualism, and the Globalisation of Knowledge. He is also principal investigator of the BabMed Project at the Freie Universität Berlin which represents the first ever comprehensive study of ancient Babylonian medical science since the decipherment of cuneiform, comprising the largest ancient collection of medical data before Hippocrates.
