Giorgio Riello

Giorgio Riello is Professor of Global History and Culture at the University of Warwick. Giorgio has published extensively on the history of textiles, trade, and technological exchange between Europe and Asia in the early modern period. His Cotton: The Fabric that Made the Modern World (CUP 2013) won the World History Association Book Prize 2014. His current project is a theoretical and historical reflection on the nature of technological innovation in early modern Europe and China.
